“Il Tricheco Blu” Foundation is a non-profit Third Sector organization

We are the parents of a wonderful autistic boy who has taught us to see the world through different eyes. After years of personal experience, we decided to turn our knowledge into a concrete opportunity to help, by creating a support network for families - so that no one ever feels alone.

Our Goal

We want to build a future that is more inclusive, welcoming, and aware, so that no autistic person should ever have to give up on happiness.

The Foundation operates mainly in Lombardy, but we aim to soon expand our network to reach other regions of Italy. We strongly believe in teamwork, integrating skills, knowledge, and services offered by other organizations  active in the field of autism.

Mission

In our own small way, we commit every day to improving the quality of life of autistic people by offering tangible support to their families and contributing to raising awareness in society.

Vision

We like to imagine a society where autistic people are fully recognized, respected, and included, and where neurodiversity is valued as a richness for everyone.

The importance of the Name

The name as a symbol

The name 'The Blue Walrus'symbolizes strength, protection, and unity within the community. It expresses essential values for mutual support.

The Value of Community

The walrus lives in communities, highlighting the importance of mutual support among autistic individuals and their families.

Our story

The 'walrus' has always been the affectionate nickname for our son since he was a little child, when we still didn't have a clear understanding of what a 'stereotypy' was. Today we have gained experience but do not want to abandon that 'playful' part that has allowed us to face our journey of awareness with a smile.
